Classics for Kids
A fun introduction to Community Theatre Performance.
Geared to children from Ages 6 to 16, Classics for Kids introduces aspiring performers to the audition process, rehearsals, and live performances.
Working from an adaptation of a classic children’s story, audition are generally held toward the end of February. If your child is able to commit to the rehearsal and performance schedule, he or she is most likely to be cast in the production. No preparation is required for the audition.
Rehearsals occur over a 2 week period in early March; usually Monday – Friday from 4:00 – 6:00pm. Two Performances in front of a live paying audience are staged on the Saturday after the final rehearsal at 10am and 1pm.
Past productions have included Tales From the Brothers Grimm, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Alice: Through the Looking Glass, Treasure Island.
