Newtown Arts Company Annual Scholarship Program

Newtown Arts Company awards scholarships each spring to graduating high school seniors who are pursuing higher education in the performing or fine arts. To date, over $150,000 in scholarships has been awarded to qualified students through an audition process.

Twenty-five percent of proceeds from shows and 100% of proceeds from other fundraising initiatives are dedicated to scholarships. Newtown Arts Company’s membership in the Newtown Community Foundation helps to assure that its mission of providing financial support for young artists will continue into the future.

Gabrielle DeSena – graduate of Council Rock High School North – matriculation at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn NY to major in Fine Arts

Gianna DiFebbo – (Joe McKernan Scholarship) graduate of Council Rock High School South – matriculating at Shenandoah Conservatory to major in Musical Theater

Nikolaj Folmer – graduate of Council Rock High School North – matriculating at Fordham University to major in New Media Design & Digital Design

Keli Ganey – graduate of Calvary Christian Academy – matriculating at Messiah University to double major in History and Theater Arts

Kennedy Heinrichs – graduate of Council Rock High School South – matriculating at Rhode Island School of Design to major in Illustration

Shane Stoltz – graduate of Council Rock High School South – matriculating at Indiana University to major in Musical Theater

Paige Suthard – (Ray Fristchy Scholarship) graduate of Council Rock High School North – matriculating at University of Arizona Tucson with goal of BFA in Stage Management

Ryan Young – (Joe McKernan Scholarship for Community Service) graduate of Council Rock High School North – headed to University of Pittsburgh to major in Computer Science & Mathematics

How To Apply

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be a graduating high school senior who has applied to or has already been accepted by an institution of postsecondary education. If your application is accepted, you will be scheduled for an audition before a selection committee in the spring. To apply, please download the form which will be made available below when we are ready to accept applications and return to the address listed.
