"Stars of Tomorrow"


a weeklong interactive summer theater program for young people ages 6 to 14

July 28 to August 1, 2014

Newtown Arts Company presents "Stars of Tomorrow," a half-day, hands-on theater program that teaches young people ages 6 to 14 how to put on a show. Participants learn acting, movement and music techniques, as well as stagecrafts including costuming, makeup and hair design, set design and safe stage combat. The week culminates in an on-stage performance by participants at the historic Newtown Theatre. learn more...

Newtown Arts Company is pleased to announce that it is partnering once again with the recently reopened Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) in New Hope, Pa., to produce the Bucks County Playhouse Student Theater Festival for high schools and middle schools. The festival will run over two weeks next spring:

High School Play Performances — May 9 & 13
High School Musical Performances — May 8 & 16
High School Play/Musical Performances — May 14

Middle School Play/Musical Performances — May 12 & 15

"We kept the festival alive for two years and now we're excited to help bring it back to the place where it all began," says Kristin Kauffman, Artistic Director of the event.
