DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY. Newtown Arts Company—Auditons Thursday, June 24, 2010, 7PM at Newtown United Methodist Church, Liberty and Greene Streets, Newtown PA and Saturday, June 26^, 2010, 9AM at Newtown Theater, 120 North State St., Newtown, PA. Director Jim Banar seeks 7 men (ages 25-75) and 6 women (ages 18-55). Performances are October 14-20. DESCRIPTIONS OF CHARACTERS

 

 

ALDA is a woman of whose manner suggests a restrained restlessness and hunger

            (Age 25-35)

 

DUKE a man with an air of good health and good breeding (Age 40-50)

 

STEPHANIE is a dark, rather mysterious looking woman with a rich, husky voice

            (Age 40-50)

 

PRINCESS is a fair, sweet woman, maternal and solicitous (Age 40-55)

 

BARON CESARFA is bluff and red-cheeked, with a merry eye. (Age 65-75)

 

RHODA is a handsome, straightforward English girl (Age 20-30)

 

CORRADO is beautifully mannered young man (Age 20-30)

 

ERIC is a tall, intelligent-looking Englishman (Age 20-35)

 

GRAZIA is a lovely young girl, charming and gentle, but oddly remote (Age 18-25)

 

PRINCE SIRKI (SHADOW)    A man of distinguished appearance with the pleasantly             modulated voice of a man of the world (Age 30-40)

 

MAJOR WHITEHEAD is a distinguished soldier (Age 40-50)

 

FEDELE the house butler (appears variously, few lines)

 

CORA the house maid (appears in Act 1, few lines)
